MAYLANDS HISTORICAL AND PENINSULA ASSOCIATION

William Thomas Jeffery served with the 28th Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 1052 and he held the rank of Lance Corporal.

He was killed in action in France on 29 July 1916 and is commemorated at the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France.
His name is located at panel 113 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.
