Sue Cundale has been our Treasurer since 2017 and Secretary since 2020.
Sue was born in the United Kingdom, but left there with a husband and two daughters in 1991. Since then she has lived and worked in a number of countries around the world, including South Africa, Indonesia, Thailand, Bangladesh and Malawi. Sue feels very lucky to now call Australia, and Perth in particular, home.
Originally living in Darlington, she moved to Maylands only last year and has already grown to love the area – the river cycle tracks and walks, the diversity of the population and the amazing history of Tranby House, the old Aerodrome and hopefully the soon to be rejuvenated Brickworks to name but a few things!
Sue and her husband Keith have two daughters (well adults now) Emma and Katie. Katie is currently living in Darwin and Emma lives in Darlington. Sue and Keith are retired but have the privilege of going up to Darlington, two days a week, to look after their twin grandchildren.
Maylands Historical and Peninsula Association acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and learn. We acknowledge that we tell the stories of Noongar Country and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
