The G-AUFD story

G-AUFD was one of the DH-50As constructed at Maylands Aerodrome by West Australian Airways Limited (WAA) under licence to the De Havilland Co. of UK.

G-AUFD was completed and test flown in late 1926 and registered to WAA on 1 December 1926.

G-AUFD was built for use on the north-west air service.

WAA replaced G-AUFD’s 230 hp Siddeley Puma engine with an ADC Nimbus.

WAA wrote off G-AUFD when it was damaged beyond repair after it crashed near Geraldton in 1929. G-AUMC then replaced G-AUFD on the north-west service.
