The Church of Christ stands in Eighth Avenue, Maylands. A plaque at the church reads: ‘This stone symbolises our faith in God, in Jesus Christ, and in his church. The Cascades Tavern owned by John K Watts once occupied a block on Guildford Road near the Guildford Road KFC at Maylands. In 2008, Coles bought the site.
