Dawes Corner is a building on the Corner of Seventh Avenue and Guildford Road, Maylands. It houses Mandy’s Deli. Church of Christ

    The Church of Christ stands in Eighth Avenue, Maylands. A plaque at the church reads:  ‘This stone symbolises our faith in God, in Jesus Christ, and in his church. Central House

Central House at 193 Guildford Road (on the corner with Eighth Avenue) dates from around 1900. A Sunday Times article of 5 June 1904 titled ‘Publican and Sinner. Magisterial Mandarins at Maylands. Cascades Tavern

The Cascades Tavern owned by John K Watts once occupied a block on Guildford Road near the  Guildford Road KFC at Maylands. In 2008, Coles bought the site.
