  • FC 063. B&W photograph. 1926. Flying boat VH-UEM. ‘West Australian Airways Ltd DH50 VH-UEM hoisted from the Swan River at the old Perth wharves to be swung ashore to the hard standing to have the pontoons removed to substitute wheeled undercarriage for road towing through Perth streets to the airfield at Maylands. 1926′ alternate caption is ”WAA. DH50 VH-UEM about to be hoisted from the Swan River at the Perth Wharves to have the pontoons removed for substitution with wheeled undercarriage for road towing to the Maylands Airfield following removal of the mainplanes. 1926. Aircraft rigger George Wheatherall at left in the picture.’
  • FC_245. B&W photograph. 1933. Forrest, Western Australia. The prospector Paddy Whelan and pilot Harry Baker following Whelan’s successful rescue from the salt lake. The WAA DH50 VH-UEM involved in the saga is in the background. This image also appears on page 80 of Frank Colquhoun’s 2001 book Cockpit and Spanner
  • MHS/FC 248. B&W photograph. January 1933. The Viastra VH-UOM, the DH50A VH-UEM and the DH 66 Hercules VH-UJP gathered together at Forrest after the search and rescue of Whelan and Stuckey from the Great Victoria Desert.
