MAYLANDS HISTORICAL AND PENINSULA ASSOCIATION

Leslie Charles Hutchinson served with the 44th Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 3376 and he held the rank of Private.

He was killed in action in France on  22 August 1918 aged 19 and is buried in Beacon Cemetery,  Sailly-Laurette, Bray-sur-Somme,Picardie, France.

His name is located at panel 138 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

‘Maylands, Perth, Western Australia, Australia’ was recorded as his ‘place of association’.
