MAYLANDS HISTORICAL AND PENINSULA ASSOCIATION

John Percival Grant served with the 34th Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 1828 and he held the rank of Private.

He was killed in action in France on 12 December 1916 aged 19 and is buried in Cite Bonjean Military Cemetery, Armentieres, Lille, Nord Pas de Calais, France.

His name is located at panel 123 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

‘Maylands, Perth, Western Australia, Australia’ was recorded as his ‘place of association’.
