MAYLANDS HISTORICAL AND PENINSULA ASSOCIATION

James Hume served with the 16th Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 69 and he held the rank of Private.

He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 2 May 1915 aged 20 and is commemorated at Lone Pine Memorial, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey.

His name is located at panel 79 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

‘Maylands, Perth, Western Australia, Australia’ was recorded as his ‘place of association’.
