James Arthur Denney served with the 11th Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 1743 and he held the rank of Private.
He was killed in action at Gallipoli on 28 June 1915 and is buried in Shell Green Cemetery, Gallipoli Peninsula, Canakkale Province, Turkey.
