MAYLANDS HISTORICAL AND PENINSULA ASSOCIATION

Edwin Leonard Housley served with the 28th Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 5713A and he held the rank of Private.

He was killed in action in France on  11 March 1917  aged 30 and is commemorated at the Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France.

His name is located at panel 113 in the Commemorative Area at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

‘Maylands, Perth, Western Australia, Australia’ was recorded as his ‘place of association’.
