Edward James Howell served with the 51st Australian Infantry Battalion of the Australian Imperial Force in WWI. His service number was 3847 and he held the rank of Private.
He was killed in action in France on 5 July 1916 aged 40 and is buried in Rue-Du-Bois Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, Bethune, Nord Pas de Calais, France.
