Central Avenue is associated with 6 of the WWI servicemen named on the Maylands War Memorial.

Central Avenue is home to 55 Central, a specialist organisation working to break the cycle of homelessness.

7 Central Avenue was listed in the City of Bayswater 2006 Municipal inventory.
