Bob Corby was a researcher, author and a member of our Association who died on 6 July 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.
MHPA thanks and honours Bob for his years of commitment to history and heritage work and especially for his work to research the lives behind the names on the Maylands War Memorial. The ‘now and then’ images in his Footprints through Time books were a delight.
Bob was always thrilled by the people who embraced his books and our volunteers always enjoyed Bob dropping in at the Old Police Station for a cuppa and a chat.
Bob’s books included:

Maylands Historical and Peninsula Association acknowledges the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work, live, and learn. We acknowledge that we tell the stories of Noongar Country and we pay our respects to Elders past and present. This always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
