The VH-URE story

VH-URE was a DH 84 Dragon made by De Havilland. It was number 465.

VH-URE  was first received by West Australian Airways Ltd at their hangar at Maylands Aerodrome in 1933 . It was first registered on 29th August 1933, owned by West Australian Airways Ltd and  used on the Perth-Adelaide Air Service.

After WA Airways became Australian National Airways (ANA), VH-URE operated under the name Yannana and is thought to have operated on the East-West service.

Later still, the AAMS (Australian Aerial Medical Service – a flying doctor service which predated the RFDS) used VH-URE in the Kimberley under the name of B M Pattinson.
