Beringa Park — modern planned green space

Berringa Park is a wetland conservation area. It represents a newer chapter in Maylands’ story.

As the peninsula was redeveloped in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, planners deliberately included neighbourhood parks.

These spaces were designed to:

  • support active lifestyles
  • provide safe play areas
  • create visual relief within housing developments
  • strengthen community connection

Beringa Park demonstrates how modern urban design increasingly recognises the importance of accessible green space.
